Alexander McQueen MoMA Exhibition
When tasked with designing stationery materials for a museum exhibition celebrating the iconic Alexander McQueen, my objective was to capture the essence of his expressive fashion shows and immense creativity. Renowned for his revolutionary and romantic-gothic garments, I carefully selected colors, typography, and textures that best reflected his distinctive identity. The resulting products pay homage to McQueen's legacy, embodying his unique aesthetic and artistic vision.
The butterfly repeated for both the invite and brochure is from his Spring/Summer 2008 La Dame Bleue collection. The butterfly itself symbolizes life and death as it transcends the physical form of a caterpillar and becomes a unique and beautiful butterfly. While Alexander McQueen is no longer with us in his physical form, the beauty and creativity of his design continues to live on, just like a butterfly.
